BGSF is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join a non-profit organization for a long-term contract.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for employees using payroll software
• Calculate and enter employee hours, overtime, bonuses, and commissions
• Review and verify accuracy of payroll data before processing
• Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
• Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave balances, and deductions
• Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
• Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate benefits administration
• Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and submit payroll tax reports as required
• Assist with general ledger accounting tasks as needed

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of payroll experience
• Experience in payroll software, ideally UKG
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, required
