Bexar County is Hiring a Senior Enterprise Systems Analyst (Supervisor) Near San Antonio, TX

Under direction, is responsible for supporting Bexar County Information Technology team; will support the mission of the County, ensuring successful delivery of IT services as defined in the duties and responsibilities. This position will represent the County in a professional and effective manner and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, Elected/Appointed Officials, outside organizations and agencies, vendors and the general public. Flexibility to achieve performance excellence in a telework arrangement. Flexibility to deliver services in a telework environment and supervise colleagues in a telework environment.
This position is Excluded from Civil Service
  • Serves as subject matter expert with M365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Platform, low-code development, and enterprise application and supporting technology portfolios, individually motivated and operating with a sense of urgency and personal accountability
  • Responsible for the management of the BCIT enterprise business application portfolio 
  • Provides technical support and coordination for the configuration and implementation of COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) software applications that fall under the purview of the Enterprise Systems and M365 Digital Workplace Teams
  • Supervises/coaches/mentors other professionals on the Enterprise Systems and Digital Workplace Teams 
  • Prioritizes and supervises tasks and workload in support of business objectives that fall under the purview of the Enterprise Systems and M365 Digital Workplace Teams 
  • Develops electronic workflow routines and automates business processes through the use of deployed applications and modern productivity platforms available
  • Configures solutions that manage various data types and enterprise metadata.
  • Assists with identifying and implementing information and data security and retention parameters, administers user permissions and security, and aligns application utilization with end user requirements 
  • Designs and supports integration with content management solutions and other enterprise applications
  • Ensures software operation and utilization by providing support and assistance to the training of Enterprise Business Systems team and client personnel as it relates to enterprise systems and digital workplace solutions 
  • Acts as a liaison between various business units to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate business requirements for changes to business processes, policies, and business systems 
  • Interacts with software, hardware, and/or professional services vendors with professionalism and competency
  • Supports the implementation of electronic forms solutions where available within the organization
  • Performs other related technology duties and projects as assigned
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a relevant degree, 5 or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have experience working with one or more of the following: M365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Platform, low-code development 
  • Must have software configuration experience 
  • Must have experience working with Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Must have experience implementing and administering Content Management solutions
  • Must have business systems experience, software testing experience, report writing experience, Project management, and/or business analyst experience
  • Knowledge of administering Content Management systems; to include, workflow development and application integrations
  • High level of analytical and problem solving skill; good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn new systems and technologies quickly; ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner across functional and technical departments, both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, stakeholders, County employees, Elected/Appointed Officials, outside organizations and agencies, vendors and the general public
  • Demonstrates technological intuitiveness
  • Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
  • Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
  • Required to be on call 24 hours
  • May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek
  • May be required to work weekends
  • This position may need to satisfy the requirement of completing and passing an assessment during the employment process
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Exposure to ERP systems
  • Certified Information Professional
  • Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA )
Working Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Constantly working in indoor / telework conditions 
  • Frequently moves items weighing up to 10-15 pounds
  • Occasionally moves objects weighing up to 15-30 pounds
  • Occasionally move about the office / telework office
  • Frequently communicates with others using approved technological resources; must be able to exchange accurate information through designated systems within a timely manner
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery
  • Positions self to perform essential functions of the job in an office / telework environment 
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Flexibility to achieve performance excellence in a telework arrangement
  • Maintains County-issued equipment, software, data and supplies
