Division: Commercial Department: Asset Based Lending Reports to: Senior Managing Director - ABL Status: Exempt/Officer Grade: 14 Pay Range: $115,297 - $207,533 Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Location: Flexible within MA, NY, CT, RI, VT Purpose/Objective: Manages Asset Based Lending (ABL) examination function. Conducts, prepares and reviews examination reports. Ensures compliance with stated policies and procedures and that reports are of acceptable quality level. Plays key role in the facilitation of new business and business retention. Involved with ongoing negotiations and problem resolution with both customer and bank representatives. Coordinates and manages the subcontracting of work through third party service providers for both ABL and Non-ABL customer engagements. Reviews completed examination reports provided by independent contractors and syndicated loan partners. Maintains the examination schedule in accordance to approved cycles as well as the stated examiner rotation policy. Coordinates the scheduling of exams to best match account complexities with examiner experience, while at the same time considering geographical locations, timing needs, customer preferences, and rotation policy guidelines. Key Accountabilities: * Manages ABL examination area. Leads team to ensure that the examination process is conducted in accordance with stated policies and guidelines. Makes recommendations regarding loan structure, advance rates and reporting requirements. Involved with ongoing negotiations and problem resolution involving both customer and bank parties. * Coordinates the scheduling of examinations, assigning exams based on complexity, auditor experience level, geographic location, planned length of duration and priority for completion. * Determines adequacy of books and records, overall quality of financial reporting, condition and adequacy of collateral and reasonableness of proposed financing structure. Prepares detailed examination reports and recommendations. Reviews completed examination reports and provides feedback as needed to appropriate examiner, loan officer, management, and operations; ensures appropriate personnel are aware of key information. * Prepares reports and information for management summarizing audit activities; interprets information and highlights important issues. * Assists the workout area with general collateral related information and recommended industry specific actions on problem loans as necessary. * Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties. Education: * BS degree in Business or Finance, or equivalent experience Experience: * 10 years related experience required, with at least 5 years as ABL auditor * Management experience preferred. Skills & Knowledge: * Strong understanding of ABL auditing and accounting * Detailed knowledge of ABL products/services and offerings. * Relationship management skills. * Organizational ability. * Analytical skills -evaluate, interpret and summarize data * Communication skills, both verbal and written. * Experience with ABL software including Stuckey or equivalent.
