As a Lead Scheduler, you will…

• Be responsible for overseeing all scheduling services for BCC.
• Perform daily routine monitoring of the scheduling process
• Provide guidance, training, and assistance to direct staff
• Work collaboratively with others to ensure data accuracy and timeliness of client scheduling.
• Assist staff with all incoming calls related to client scheduling needs.
• Complete staff disciplinary form(s), including but not limited to action plan of correction, when needed.
• Be required to wear scrubs.

Requirements

To qualify for the position, you will need…

• A high school diploma or GED
• At least three (3) years of office experience in the healthcare field
• Proficiency with computer technology
• Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.
• BCC’s hours of operation are 8am to 8pm, must be able to work within these hours.
• To have excellent communication skills
• To be detailed oriented

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see well enough to read reports and use computer.
• Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with clients, vendors, and coworkers. 
• Must have mobility to move about the agency.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.
• Must be able to write, type, and use technology.

Preferred candidates will …

• Be bilingual: able to speak, read, and write Spanish and English
• Have medical scheduling experience
• Have knowledge of or experience with trauma-informed approaches preferred.

• Receipt of the originals of the following background checks: PA State Police Criminal History, PA State Child Abuse, and DPW FBI Criminal History. These clearances must be valid within the 60 months prior to employment. A conviction is not a bar to employment; however, a review will be conducted to make a determination of employment should a conviction be present.
• Receipt of original documentation and verification of relevant degrees, diplomas, certificates, or licensure.
• Confirmation that you are not on the OIG Federal Healthcare Program Exclusion from Participation list. Should you appear on this list, Berks Counseling Center is prohibited from employing you.
