Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting team, specializing in homeowners associations and condominium associations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to resolve payment issues with homeowners, as well as coordinate delinquent accounts with collections attorneys.

Responsibilities:

• Review financial statements and payment histories for payment history.
• Reconcile accounts receivable transactions, including homeowner payments and assessments, to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
• Process and post incoming payments accurately and promptly.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payment transactions and billing issues.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners via email and phone to address payment inquiries and resolve outstanding balances.
• Coordinate delinquent accounts with collections attorneys, including providing necessary documentation and information for legal action.
• Generate and distribute monthly or quarterly financial reports detailing accounts receivable status for each association.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of accounts receivable transactions and correspondence.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role, preferably in property management or real estate.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, including the ability to analyze and reconcile payment histories.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with homeowners and association managers.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and work effectively in a team environment.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
