On-Call:

Starting Pay is $18/hr with a $50 bonus pay for every shift worked.

Eligible for all shift pay differential (ex. Night Shift $2/hr pay differential, Holidays are time and a half, Weekends $1/hr from 7am-11pm)

Job Summary

The On Call Team Member is responsible for providing daily care to facility residents. The On Call Team Member functions as the primary liaison between residents and facility staff. In addition to resident care, this individual is responsible for other clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. This person must convey a positive image of the facility and must have a genuine caring for and interest in working with elderly people. The On Call Team Member must, within the individual’s area of focus, assure compliance with BeeHive Homes’ quality standards and State and Federal regulations. This individual must be highly organized and possess outstanding interpersonal skills with a high level of energy and enthusiasm. The On Call Team Member works closely with the Administrator to ensure operational performance, quality of service, and competitiveness with other area facilities. The On Call Team Member must be a firm decision-maker, taking into consideration the impact of his/her decision on the overall organization.

The On Call Team Member is expected to perform other position-related duties that include, but are not limited to:

Residents

· Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs). ADLs include, but are not limited to, grooming, care and selection of clothing, cleanliness of clothing, shaving, bathing, oral hygiene, shampooing and curling hair, eating and sleeping, planning daily activities and spending quality time with individual residents.

· Assist residents in light housekeeping, including inspection and/or making of residents' beds insuring bedding is clean.

· Assist residents that may be incontinent of bowel and/or bladder, including making sure residents are clean and dressed in clean clothing.

· Wake residents and assist residents to breakfast.

· Assist residents to other daily meals and activities.

Housekeeping/Laundry

· Clean residents' rooms and bathrooms daily. Clean towels and clean linens are to be provided. Supplies; such as, tissue, toilet paper and hand soap replenished.

· Ensure odor free facility.

· Wash wheelchairs and other assistive devices on a scheduled basis.

· Wash and dry resident laundry and facility laundry and linen utilizing both household and industrial equipment.

· Fold and stack linen and hang clothing.

Other

· Answer the phone and/or questions, writing accurate messages and delivering those messages promptly to the appropriate individual.

· Complete full orientation upon hire.

· Attend team member meetings as required.

· Participate in resident care planning.

· Work no more than 40 hours per week unless approved by the Administrator.

· Must provide a calendar for the next month NLT the last business day of the current month indicating what days and shifts you are available for. You are required to schedule yourself for 40 hours a week excluding Monday through Friday dayshifts (7am-3pm) to include one Saturday and Sunday. Schedules do not guarantee you will be needed for the shifts you scheduled yourself for. Failure to provide a calendar and/or be available for those days you scheduled may result in termination.

Essential Qualifications

Education/Certification

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Complete physical to verify no communicable diseases or open skin lesions.

· No previous felony conviction or conviction for fraud of the federal government.

· First aid certification.

Skills/Abilities

· Knowledge of the assisted living care industry.

· Decisive, well-informed and decision-maker.

· Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form.

· Capacity to work effectively with different types of people.

· Ability to work efficiently and complete projects under pressure with time constraints.

· Ability to calmly handle stressful situations.

· Demonstrate organizational capabilities.

· Knowledge of food safety.

· Knowledge of nutritional/dietetic principles and applications based on calorie levels and nutrient adequacy.

· Ability to respond to Administrator request to work on short notice.

· Must have reliable transportation.

· Must have operational cell phone.

Preferred Qualifications

· Two years of experience working in a Long Term Care facility.

· CNA certification.
