Beauty Industry Group OpCo, LLC is Hiring a Remote eCommerce Demand Planner

Description

About the Position

Versatile and collaborative eCommerce Demand Planner to play a key role in supporting a portfolio of brands while actively collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Growth Marketing, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), and eCommerce. This role involves strategic demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and fostering effective communication across diverse teams to ensure the success of our ecommerce operations. Pivotal to make sound decisions for short term wins leveraging in stock product and identifying risks for oversell or excess during S&OP lifecycle. 

Location preference for this role is Salt Lake City, Chicago, NY or LA [Remote].? 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate across the organization with brand managers, marketing teams, and S&OP to develop accurate demand forecasts for the ecommerce portfolio, considering financial goals, marketing strategies, and overall business objectives. 
  • Work closely with Finance to align demand planning strategies with budgetary constraints and financial targets, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized for cost-effectiveness. 
  • Collaborate with S&OP to align demand plans with overall supply chain strategies and create tactics to maximize inventory sell thru for chase within 3-month lead time of S&OP cycle. 
  • Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors from S&OP Partners to accurately forecast product demand for the ecommerce channel for ad hoc short-term wins within product marketing to maximize revenue and hit monthly budgets. 
  • Develop and implement inventory strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and ensure product availability for customer demand within 3-month lifecycles for forecasts. 
  • Engage with eCommerce & growth marketing teams to understand promotional activities, product launches, and market trends, incorporating these insights into demand forecasts.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the eCommerce team to understand platform dynamics, sales patterns, and customer behavior, ensuring seamless integration of demand plans with ecommerce operations. 
  • Utilize analytics tools to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning, financial targets, and ecommerce performance, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement. 
  • Serve as a central point of communication, facilitating effective information flow between different teams, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment on demand planning strategies. 
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance demand planning processes, cross-functional collaboration, and overall efficiency, contributing to the continuous improvement of ecommerce operations. 
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to make informed decisions and adjustments to demand forecasts.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of eCommerce management and Demand Planning experience. 
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Marketing, Business Analytics, Data Science), demonstrating progressively increasing responsibilities in analytical decision-making and strategy development. 
  • Strong understanding and extensive experience with digital analytics platforms, including Google Analytics, with advanced tracking and reporting expertise. 
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics and ability to evaluate financial performance, ROI analysis, and cost-effectiveness. Experience in eCommerce financial forecasting and budget management is critical. 
  • Proficiency in leveraging digital analytics to drive business insights and strategies. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively. 
  • Comfortable analyzing high volumes of data and deriving actionable insights. 
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Monday.com, Click-up, Microsoft teams? 
  • Strong attention to detail, exceptional interpersonal skills, and active listening abilities. 
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business environments, innovative thinking, and the ability to propose and implement creative solutions to drive growth and achieve goals. 
  • Keen attention to detail in analyzing data, reports, and strategies, ensuring accuracy and precision in all deliverables and decisions. 
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, influence decision-making, and work collaboratively toward achieving common objectives. 
  • Flexible work hours to flex when needed to build collaborative partnerships across time zones 
  • Proficient in data visualization tools like PowerBI is a plus.
