The restaurant busser contributes to a pleasant dining experience by cleaning and setting tables, restocking plates, or (at times) serving food, while assisting the bar.
Responsibilities:
The restaurant busser contributes to a pleasant dining experience by cleaning and setting tables, restocking plates, or (at times) serving food, while assisting the bar.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares dining room for guests by setting decorations, service plates, and utensils.
- Protects the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean, replacing damaged or soiled pages, and cleaning chalkboards.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, refilling water glasses, and being attentive to additional needs.
- Closes the restaurant by cleaning chairs and tables.
- Supports servers and bartenders by performing necessary work duties.
- Perform daily cleaning, including washing glassware.
- Responsible for restocking glasses and other bar supplies as needed.
- 1-2 years guest service experience in upper-upscale hotel.
- Some wine and fine food knowledge helpful.
- Food Handling and Alcohol Service Certifications required.
- Read, write and speak English fluently.
- Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service experience required.
- 2-3 years restaurant experience preferred.
- Luxury/Upper-upscale hotel experience preferred.
- While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is regularly required to bend, push, squat, pull, kneel, crawl, stand, walk, talk, or hear.
- Long hours are sometimes required.
- May be required to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to lift a minimum of 20lbs occasionally and 25lbs regularly
