Job Description:
Bazaarvoice is seeking a Staff Product Manager who will be responsible for building and supporting tools and systems used across the entire engineering organization. This represents a critical role for the Platform Portfolio at Bazaarvoice as this person will be the driving force that ensures our engineers have access to the tools, systems, and automation that they need to be efficient and effective. The Staff Product Manager for our Engineering Efficiency team will be responsible for innovating on top of our current systems and tools to deliver workflows, processes, and capabilities to the entire engineering organization.
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and executing a data-driven strategy for developing automation, templates, and other force-multipliers for the engineering organization
- Piloting and roll-out new features that help engineering teams reduce the manual effort associated with their work.
- Working closely with engineering in an agile environment to prioritize, build, and deliver improvements across a wide range of products.
- Establishing regular interactions with internal engineering teams across the organization to learn more about their needs and prioritize improvements.
- Evaluating and executing partnerships with third-party software providers where necessary to drive improvements.
- Writing feature and system requirement specifications in user stories to help engineering understand what is needed.
- Leading the creation of documentation; communicate through various channels about your team’s features and drive adoption.
- Communicating across teams to ensure consistent backlog alignment on prioritized business goals.
- Participating in other strategic initiatives and in partnership with the Director of Product Management (Platform).
