Contemporary Worship Services

Work with the Lead Pastor and worship team to create biblically grounded, creative worship services on Sundays and for special events in a contemporary voice.

· Find, select, learn, transpose, and arrange songs that particularly compliment the worship theme

· Schedule worship teams and lead a well-organized weekly rehearsal

· Create lead sheets for team members

· Update Planning Center weekly with attachments/notes/parts for musicians

· Attend sermon prep/worship planning meetings to ensure unified Sunday service

· Work together with the director of the classic service to insure a cohesive Sunday

· Communicate with AV to ensure channels/location/timing is cohesive

· Stay up-to-date on the latest music and movements to take the best of current trends in worship, sound and media styles/practices and integrate them with the best of the past

· Assist with stage design, video and other elements in crafting a worship experience

Worship Team Training and Team Building

· Identify, recruit and audition new members, with a focus on building potential leaders

· Lead the team spiritually and technically providing encouragement, instruction and creating opportunities for team fellowship and development

· Build personal relationships (team member life struggles and celebrations) holding “one on one” meetings/evaluation

Congregational Relationships

· Answer congregation member’s worship-related questions

· Provide Biblical truth/encouragement to members, especially in respect to worship
