Description

The Walmart Customer Sales Manager(CSM) position perfectly embodies that ambition- as you will own & be responsible for Salty Snacks category and other new businesses selling execution in Walmart. Incremental revenue with Walmart as a vital member of the Walmart Business Team at Barcel USA. The CSE serves as the liaison between Barcel USA and the Walmart divisional and regional teams- leading all selling activities & driving efforts tied to growing sales and market share. The CSE aims to deliver revenue and share objectives- pursue business strategies to of growth- provide category management expertise- and ensure that coordinated cross-functional sales value is delivered to the customer through implementation of the sales plan and shelving objectives. 

Description 

Primary responsibilities include leading the company’s efforts to grow volume and profit in the Walmart account territory assigned. Responsible for achieving sales goals and strategic objectives within his/her customers and territory. Effectively manage the relationship with customers in the area assigned, lead negotiations and influence alignment with Barcel account strategic plan while working collaborative with other key positions in the company to influence and orientate distributor partners that provide service to such customers. Analyzes business environment to secure and influence the execution of national strategic plans.

What Will I Be Doing 

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel at Walmart divisions, regions and markets at all levels. 
  • Achieve net sales targets, market share growth, trade management, and sales activity margin targets for Walmart through simulating and planning incremental volume, pre and post analysis, and displaying core competencies and behaviors.
  • Drive increased account penetration with all Barcel USA brands through distribution, promotional activity, and higher customer wiring.
  • Partner with Barcel USA cross functional teams, Marketing, & Trademarketing to help influence key POS material, seasonal, promotional, and distribution tactics to to bring forward learnings on future strategic pathways for growth
  • Effectively utilize the company’s analytical tools and processes to drive profitable & predictable sales results. 
  • Build and maintain appropriate sales plans in PlanEx 
  • Manage non-trade fund budget to include clearing deductions 
  • Monitor and control customer expenses to include WASTE and supply chain costs. 
  • Provide category analysis and consumer insights to customers as well as other category tools/consultation with CATMAN partnership. 
  • Have developed understanding and ability to interpret customer’s internal data sources to effectively deliver business initiatives and negotiate key programming, funding, and waste
  • Achieve Sr. Level Account relationships through quarterly business reviews with Divisions or major WM regions
  • Be highly organized with strong planning skills to enable strong business acumen and relationship development across full book of business; including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively collaborate across Retail Regions; requiring exceptional retail connections 
  • Alignment with Distributors and/or distributor divisions including planning programming executions with excellence, maintaining high level of awareness across distributor plans and priorities, production planning timelines and program deadlines, forecasting accuracy a critical component 
  • Establishes “Wiring Model” that ensures communication with all account chain decision makers at division, regional, and market level. 
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor. 

Qualifications


Education/Experience

  • Education Business: Administration, Marketing Bachelors and/or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum 5-7 years of strategic sales experience: preferably with a consumer-packaged goods organization 
  • Minimum 2 years of Walmart Regional Level experience
  • Experience working with 3rd party, Direct Sales Distribution (DSD), and CDC Warehouse GTM (Preferable) 
  • Experience working with Walmart at Divisional, Regional, and Market level (a must) 
  • Proficient in IRI, Retail Link, Nielsen data 
  • Knowledgeable of Warehouse replenishment programs and supply chain requirements. 
  • Frequently participated in successful strategic joint business planning sessions with Walmart 
  • Proven track record of effective trade expense management 
  • Demonstrated skillful negotiation capability with Buyers and Senior Buyers in the Grocery Retail CPG industry 
  • Ability to create effective and dynamic presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. 
  • Proven & tested experience in customer management- account management- and/or retail sales management for a CPG company 
  • Tested ability to own business process and Category management through a complex Sales position where you owned a desk of at least $50M of net revenue 
  • Proven skills embodying a customer-first mentality for effective customer management and selling to achieve objectives
  • Travel: Domestic up to 50%
