MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE; Bar/Servers required

Banksia is EXPANDING! We are building a beautiful new Bistro style restaurant at the corner of 12th and Main St (free employee parking). Our successful day time restaurant will continue, but we are adding evening service and will also have a private dining room for Events and Chefs Tables.

Guaranteed Minimum $18ph. As this role participates in Tip Sharing there is a potential to earn more during busy periods.

We are hiring multiple positions with hours ranging from 24 to 35 per week.

We can be very busy and you will need to be capable of working on a fast pace line, whilst ensuring quality service and communicate well with your co-workers, keeping a positive attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide exceptional service to all customers
• Staff required for both table service and/or bar service
• Assist with running food, bussing tables and washing dishes when required
• Control costs by waste minimization
• You must have a collaborative teamwork attitude and proactive communication
• Cleaning and maintenance throughout the restaurant
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
• Follow company procedures
• Comply with fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation
• Be environmentally aware

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Able to service alcohol
• Proof of eligibility to work in the US
• Ability to read and follow a recipe
• Ability to understand both written and spoken English
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (minimum of 8 hours a day)
• Be able to reach, bend and frequently lift up to 50 pounds

REQUIRED HOURS:

• 5 days per week , typically has fixed days off but must be available to work on any day of the week and must be flexible to cover weekend shifts
