Bank ABC is Hiring an Associate Relationship Manager Near New York, NY

Job Purpose: Provide a high level of client, administrative and marketing support to 3 Corporate Relationship Managers (RMs) focused on driving both inbound and outbound opportunities globally.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

  • Maintain and develop relationships with corporate clients in North America, especially those with a high volume of export transactions, in order to allow the relevant Relationship Manager(s) to focus on the development of new clients/business.
  • At the direction of the RM(s) and Head of Corporates, maintain consistent contact with clients to ensure that they receive the highest level of customer service.
  • Work with the RM(s) to develop transaction-based Trade Finance opportunities from existing client portfolio & prospect customers; ensuring a high level of support and collaboration, and consistency across the team.
  • Coordinate the intra-Group global marketing approach acting as primary liaison with other units on administrative matters, which will help facilitate new business opportunities in Trade Finance and other products areas for both New York Branch and the wider ABC Group.
  • Research and make recommendations to enhance the efficiency of delivery of trade finance products to clients so as to maximize revenue opportunities
  • Work with RM(s) and other units within the branch (including Operations, Credit and Compliance) to ensure that all client business is processed in a timely fashion with minimal errors.
  • Support the RMs and Head of Corporates to monitor credit risk of individual clients and overall portfolio. With the direction of the RMs take a first line of defense approach to risk management in all aspects of the business and assume ownership/accountability for risks. Monitor client compliance with financial and transaction covenants.
  • Review/process client portfolio credit applications and annual reviews. Review compliance packages for conformity with financial covenants. All material credit events escalated to LRMD or Head Office per CRG guidelines.
  • Assist and support the monitoring of all aspects of customer, transactional and portfolio profile to ensure adherence with local and global compliance requirements. Preform Risk assessments at regular intervals based on the assigned accounts risk weighting/score.
  • Ensure that client portfolio adheres to all regulatory requirements, such as KYC, AML and BSA. Update KYC & transactional information on Risk Assessments to ensure best practice compliance review of each account.

Job Requirements:

Knowledge

  • Strong Knowledge of ABC value proposition and product base and ability to sell both to clients
  • Strong Credit knowledge

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred

Experience

  • 3years International banking experience
  • Completion of a training program or equivalent experience
  • Local Market Expertise
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills

Personal Attributes

  • Strong communication skills for interface with clients and internal presentation skills
