Banjara Life is Hiring a Food and beverage manager Near San Francisco, CA

Banjara life, a San Francisco hospitality brand, is seeking a motivated, service-driven Food and Beverage Operations Manager.

The team at Banjara Life operate Zingari Ristorante and Ula Restaurant. This position requires exceptional leadership and vision.

This is an entrepreneurial operations role where we expect special event activations monthly, digital marketing content creation, and enthusiastic ownership of the customer experience.

Essentially the operations manager is responsible for implementation of our brand and guest experience during service. Furthermore, the Operations Manager is responsible for fostering and developing an exciting, positive, results-based environment for the restaurant team.

This role will focus on day-to-day management activities. This role will have creative aspects, particularly in collaborating with managing director on guest experience development.

This is a key role hospitality management can be fast-paced, highly demanding and very rewarding.

Typical work activities

Front-of-house :

  • Coordinating the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
  • Managing staff and providing them with feedback.
  • Responding to customer complaints.
  • Ensuring that all employees adhere to the company's uniform standards.
  • Meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations.
  • Advising customers on menu and wine choice.
  • Recruiting, training and motivating staff.
  • Organizing and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiting and cleaning staff.

Business activities :

  • Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant.
  • Organizing marketing activities, such as promotional events.
  • Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff development.
  • Setting budgets and / or agreeing them with senior management.

Misc. Management :

  • Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
  • Checking stock levels and ordering supplies.
  • Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required.
  • Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate.
