Bally's Corporation is Hiring a Technician - Maintenance II Near Kansas, MO

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal customers at all times.
  • General maintenance of all facilities and property.
  • Identify deficiencies related to maintenance of facilities and property.
  • Identify need for maintenance and repair of Table Games layouts and for maintaining, repairing, and replacing Table Games layouts.
  • Identify the need for and perform mid- to advanced-level painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks required for proper maintenance and upkeep of the property.
  • Identify and diagnose deficiencies with HVAC system, alarm system, and generators, and take necessary measures to correct deficiencies.
  • Assist with developing preventive maintenance schedules and follow all such schedules.
  • Answer all calls promptly and professionally.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Keep work area in a clean and organized manner.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all customers and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Bally's KC and departmental management.
  • Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in facilities maintenance and at least two years of experience as a Maintenance Technician 1 or higher position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Knowledge of the HVAC system, alarm system, and generators.
  • Ability to identify the need for and perform mid- to advanced-level painting, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other projects related to maintenance of the property.
  • Safe and appropriate operation of all maintenance-related types of hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
  • Safe and appropriate operation of ladders, bucket truck, forklift, and safety equipment.
  • Safe use of cleaning and maintenance chemicals and equipment and proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Use of two-way radio.
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards and safety measures.
  • Must obtain and maintain Missouri Gaming Commission occupational license.
  • Must be able to work any assigned shift, including late nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Read, write, and understand simple instructions and building plans in English.
  • Communicate appropriately with all casino customers, casino departments, and fellow team members.
  • Understand and adhere to all Missouri Gaming Commission regulations and any other applicable federal, state, and/or local regulations.
  • Accurately perform all assigned job duties in a high-volume, fast-paced environment under frequent time pressures.

The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, including overhead lifting. The team member will frequently be required to lift and/or move up to 250 pounds with assistance. The team member will often be required to climb a ladder. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT: while performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to variable temperatures, outdoor conditions, smoke, and bright flashing lights. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
