Purpose of the job

The Operations Specialist is crucial to the success of Ball FloraPlant. Critical responsibilities for this position include organizing and clearly communicating delivery schedules, order information, logistics updates, and reporting needs of the business to internal and external customers. This role protects and delivers on the promise we make with every customer to deliver orders on time, in full, first quality with world-class customer service.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Create and manage delivery downloads and shipping priorities to production sites and communicate inventory and shipment delays to customers in a timely, accurate, and effective manner to provide customers fast notification of challenges and optimal alterative booking options. 
• Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with production farms, sales representatives, internal and external customers through friendly, timely and accurate communication to ensure the highest possible level of service from Ball FloraPlant Operations
• Enter late order changes, trial orders and act as customer service contact for key accounts to provide fast follow-up for product representatives and customers on urgent requests.
• Create essential demand and booking reports to support the Ball FloraPlant Operations and Logistics team.
• Support the team/department by cross-training with other members of the operations team to support vacations or time away. This may also include special projects as needed.
• Aid Ball FloraPlant Logistics team in creating grower truck delivery schedules, updating tracking information and resolving delivery issues to customers to provide all the best and nothing else in delivering orders to our customer’s door.
• Collaborate with Ball FloraPlant Operations, Logistics and Sales teams to support special projects as assigned. 

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3-5 years of customer service, operations or vendor relations experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in customer service, operations, and/or horticulture required
• Intermediate-level proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint required.
• Experience with SAP system desirable.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Physical Requirements: 

• Ability to sit/stand 100% of the day 
• Ability to use hands/fingers 100% of the day
