Baily International is Hiring a Quality Technician Near Granite, IL

The Quality Assurance Technician role would focus on food quality requirements with other responsibilities concentrating on special projects. The quality assurance technician works on the production floor to ensure that product, associates, machinery, and plant are consistently meeting both regulatory and company policies and specifications. Attention to detail, observational skills and communication are crucial as you will work as a team with production associates to achieve consistent, safe products.

Essential Job Functions:

Conduct pre-operational Inspections

Ensure sanitary operations and employee GMP performance are maintained

Monitor product and cooler temperature parameters

Perform label and weight verifications

Verify metal detection reliability

Verify various sanitizer and chemical strengths

Audit various departments

Perform basic sensory evaluation

Ensure customer specifications are met

Enter key performance data into spreadsheets

Perform other tasks as assigned

Perform validation studies for FSMA compliance

HACCP /Food Safety Plan team member


Skills Required for this Position:

Ability to read and understand procedures and policies and write in English

Ability to lift and carry up to 40#

Work as a team with production in a fast-paced environment

Detail-Oriented

Multitasking

Take on special projects as assigned by QA Manager

Work with little supervision when required

Bilingual is preferred but not required

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year working as food production or quality role

High School Diploma or equivalent

Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite

Prior experience with environmental monitoring is preferred but not required

HACCP experience is a plus but not required
