Job Description
BAE Systems Jacksonville Ship Repair is currently recruiting for a Planning Program Manager – Fabrication Programs supporting the Jacksonville Ship Repair business. In this role you will support, coordinate, plan, organize, control, integrate, and execute a project or collection of projects. You will ensure achievement of financial, schedule, technical, and new business performance objectives; participate in the support of new business. You will also model and demonstrate strong leadership in ethics, safety, and security.Our Program Managers act as leaders and initiators in Safety; ensure team compliance with all company & OSHA regulated safety requirements/standards, and environmental and ethical requirements.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The ideal candidate will have 10 years relevant experience a bachelor's degree or 8 years' experience with Planning/Program Management experience in a Submarine Production Facility or Focus Factory. We may substitute equivalent experience, training and/or certifications for the degree. Relevant experience is job-related work that provides the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to perform the role.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Must be able to tour all vessels, docks, piers, shops, and work sites.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test and reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Ability to apply a high-level budgeting/accounting skills to execute contract ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in schematic, blueprint, mathematical, or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.Responsibilities include:
Advocates Continuous Process Improvement (CPI).Participates in project proposal development and planning of the submarine module fabrication and outfitting program to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources throughout various phases of project.Participates in planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling the submarine module fabrication and outfitting program. Responsibilities include developing the overall strategy for submarine module and aircraft carrier fabrication and outfitting. Position responsible for the development of bids, processes, training, tooling, and infrastructure grants as necessary to grow and sustain the submarine module and aircraft carrier fabrication.Supports a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT) with internal and external customers and sub-tier supplier relationships.Communicates contract requirements, specifications, and customer expectations to all departments to ensure incorporation into the shipyard business plan for the project.Ensures establishment of the project plan including detailed schedules and budgets for each department and phase of the plan.Conducts project team meetings as required to accurately determine the project status and plan and initiate action plans for success.Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.Prepares project reports to corporate management, highlighting shortfalls to plan adherence, which may need management attention.Responsible for maintaining contract documentation, including all correspondence, change orders, etc.Accountable for contract execution in compliance with all state and federal safety and environmental guidelines.Coordinates and approves all changes to project requirements or plans, receiving customer approval when required.Accountable for daily contact with customer’s representatives to report status, resolve issues and negotiate changes to contract requirements, whether schedule, technical or financial.Other duties may be assigned.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience as a Program Manager of a submarine production facility or Focus FactoryExperience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)Experience with Supplier Development Fund (SDF) grant processThe selected Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a government "DBIDS" access card.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
