The Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist works to ensure accurate and timely billing processing and efficient management of accounts receivable records for our asset division. Our ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail with the ability to be accurate and timely.

What will you do as a Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist?

• Audit incoming load documents to customer requirements to approve for invoicing for our asset division
• Process and post invoices
• Record day to day financial transactions
• Process accounts receivables
• Collaborate with our sales and operations teams to understand their accounting and billing needs
• Identify and elevate discrepancies and errors to the appropriate dept/person for resolution
• Build relationships with key customers to ensure Backhaul Direct is paid timely and resolve any concerns or delays
• Review payments received for application to correct invoices and review invoices prior to distribution as needed
• Execute administrative tasks, including document uploading and retrieval
• Display top-notch customer service skills when dealing with external customers alongside internal team members
• Work on special accounting/billing projects as needed

What skills and/or qualifications do you need to be successful as a Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist?

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
• Proven customer service and/or accounting-specific experience
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite preferred
• Experience within the transportation and logistics industry a plus
• Expert knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis in Excel
• Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Possess strong work ethic and desire for continuous improvement
• Strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion
