About the team and role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Sr Lead Business Execution Consultant within Finance Risk Management (FRM). FRM sits within Corporate Risk and oversees frontline risk activities of the Finance organization. Enterprise Finance’s activities are critical to the financial risk management of the Company, including, but not limited to, setting and managing the capital and liquidity positions, executing CCAR, managing interest rate risk, balance sheet management, financial forecasting, and line of business capital allocations, funds transfer pricing, and financial and regulatory reporting among others. Additionally, Enterprise Finance encompasses operational, compliance and reputational risk across the various activities. The FRM team is responsible for effectiveness of Independent Risk Management oversight, creating streamlined IRM interaction with Enterprise Finance and a comprehensive view of risks across the Finance organization. The FRM team is led by the Finance Chief Risk Officer, reporting directly to the Company’s Chief Risk Officer. This position is an individual contributor position that reports directly to the head of Strategy Planning and Governance (SP&G) for FRM. The SP&G team focuses on various governance activities across FRM and in partnership with Finance and Corporate Risk. Activities include, but not limited to, Reporting, Committee Governance, Policy compliance and management, Enterprise and Risk Programs, Business Management and other support functions for the entire FRM team. The Sr Lead Business Execution Consultant position plays an important role in Wells Fargo’s governance and oversight for FRM. The role has direct interactions with the Finance CRO, Finance CRO Executives, Finance and Control Executives, and Corporate Risk Leaders. This role will have the following responsibilities: Reporting, Secretary and Risk Programs: Interpret and manage Enterprise and Risk Program requirements and deliverables for Finance Risk Management (FRM). Take ownership in what is documented for FRM and draft updates accordingly. Stay up to date on Legal Entity submissions completed by each Risk Type. Understand and partner with Finance to complete Enterprise and Risk Programs. Be the Subject Matter Expert for direction, questions and concerns. Communicate effectively and “challenge when necessary” – this is done with Leaders and Executives across various groups in Finance and Corporate Risk. SME of the applicable Enterprise/Risk Programs (ERIA, RME, RMP) . Manage reporting from CARAT (escalations) and the various Program tools (ERIA, RME, RMP). Complete deep dives of data within these tools – be able to slice data, dig into details and ask thoughtful questions. Assist with Reputational Risk actions/items impacting Finance. Assist with the Secretary responsibilities and deliverables for the Finance Risk and Control Committee (FRCC) and ensure in-compliance and pro-actively managing all requests/requirements/deliverables. Manage the FRCC agenda, ensure all logistics are met in preparation for each meeting and ensure the FRCC is aligned to all policy/procedure requirements. Proactively suggest agenda topics based on what’s going on internally and externally. Review content and provide feedback to the data providers – knowledgeable in Finance specific RCC topics. Lead meetings and be able to influence Leaders and Executives. Assist with governance and secretary requirements for other FRM Committees/Councils (RWA OC, EIOC, Mortgage Council, etc). Knowledge to be able to review reporting content and provide feedback and/or see errors. Draft and manage Minutes – knowledgeable in Basel, Finance, Investment Portfolio and Mortgage topics or ability to learn quickly. Assist with the aggregation and timely completion of Monthly/Quarterly Risk Reporting required for FRM. Assist with the aggregation of FRM reporting – be able to draft talking points and suggest topics. Assist with the key Meetings and Board and Management Reporting for the Finance CRO while partnering with his EA. Manage the agenda topics and be proactive with what’s coming. Policy and Control: Manage relationship with the Policy Office and FRM policy owners. Interpret and understand the Financial Risk owned policies to help with recommended updates and changes. Proactively define governance routines needed for each policy owned by FRM. SME for policy requirements and process for FRM. Manage remediation of a Self ID issue which requires understanding/interpreting Enterprise policies and determine applicability to FRM. Develop an annual process and supporting documentation on how FRM complies with the policies. Continue to manage policy compliance efforts already in place (i.e. IMTV, Issue Management). Assist SP&G Leader with developing, tracking and maintaining FRM’s Strategic Plan. Track Control partner and Regulatory requests that are happening across FRM and update FRM’s monthly reporting to the Finance CRO. Become the Veritas SME for FRM and work closely with FRM’s Control Partner team on issue management and reporting. General: Communicate and challenge across various groups and Executives on the Program requirements and expectations. Assist the head of FRM SP&G with strategic items and initiatives. Manage control partner requests, meetings, deliverables. Maintenance of process and supporting documentation for applicable areas of RCSA. Required Qualifications 7 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. Desired Qualifications A BS/BA degree or higher. Knowledgeable in Finance and Risk. Microsoft Excel spreadsheets experience importing, exporting, and manipulating data. Skills to take Minutes at a high-paced Committee/Council meetings. Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment. Critical thinking skills are very important. Ability to manage multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously. Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information. Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills. Ability to be proactive and anticipate routines, meetings and governance activities that need to take place. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to communicate requests across multiple groups and businesses. Critical to have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
