Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Systems Administrator/Engineer III to join our client's dynamic IT team. This is a 100% remote opportunity supporting our client, an organization that is a major not-for-profit entity and regulatory board that works in tandem with the federal government (specific agencies) to regulate securities, stocks, bonds and with a mission to protect every dollar invested into the stock market. Seeking an expert in Powershell Scripting, Microsoft Power Apps/ AWS/Azure Cloud.

The role:
> As a Windows Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist (with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS experience), you will play a crucial role in managing our on-premises and cloud-based environments, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance.

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage Windows-based systems and applications in on-premises and cloud environments (AWS/Azure), ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. AMI's (Amazon Machine Images).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, and provide technical expertise in system architecture planning.

• Perform regular system maintenance, including patching, updates, and configuration adjustments to guarantee system stability and security.

• Automate manual tasks using scripting (PowerShell - expert level powershell scripting is a MUST ; Bash, Python, etc.) to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary optimizations to meet performance targets and ensure a seamless user experience.

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across Windows environments, adhering to security best practices.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient application deployment and infrastructure as code practices.

• Utilize cloud services and tools to architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based resources, focusing on cost optimization and scalability.

• Work with cross-functional teams in Microsoft Power Platform to develop and maintain business applications, automate workflows, and create custom solutions to enhance productivity.

• Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in systems administration, cloud computing, and automation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Proven experience in systems administration/engineering roles, with a strong emphasis on Windows environments and cloud technologies.

• Proficiency in managing Windows Server operating systems (2016 ) and related services (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings.

• Solid scripting skills using languages like PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar for task automation and configuration management.

• Familiarity with DevOps principles and tools, enabling collaboration between development and operations teams.

• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent certifications are desirable.
