Responsibilities:

The Senior Cloud Engineer is expected to provide deep implementation and configuration expertise associated with an organizations use of cloud services. This individual is expected to also provide direct analysis and recommendations associated with the implementation or migration of specific applications to cloud services. The Senior Cloud Engineer should possess:

• Experience and expertise implementing and maintaining cloud management solutions including initial and ongoing configuration of related automation, notifications, and reporting capabilities
• Experience working with a variety of legacy applications and platforms and working with application teams to implement or migrate associated components to cloud services
• Experience identifying and troubleshooting cloud service events and issues as well as working with cloud service providers to efficiently solve issues or implement workarounds

Qualifications:

• Gather requirements, design, and implement the AWS cloud computing environment
• Design Architecture and Configuration Document including defining roles, defining permissions, defining, and documenting the security, diagram showing the integration with the HPC Environment
• Implement Budget Funding Tags
• Supervise, coordinate and/or perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, and attached devices, including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software
• Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems
• Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices at the logical level working with communication protocols
• Participate in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks
• Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP
• Provide technical consultation, training and support to IT staff as designated by the government
• Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems
• Administration; Developing Reports, Operation and Maintenance Document
• Experience with USAF IT environment.
• TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
