VP of Business Development- Cybersecurity
Searching for a senior leader responsible for building and growing a Cyber division. This person will be responsible for the Growth of the organization as well as the P&L. Accountable for the recruitment, development, and retention of a world-class cybersecurity operations team.
The ideal Candidate will help drive growth in the company's DoD segment through strategies for IT and mission support products and services. The role requires an aggressive approach to identifying and pursuing new opportunities, comprehensive business acumen, technical understanding, resourcefulness, and outstanding business relationships. This is a new business development position in the organization that will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Primary Responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of prior relevant experience in the field of consulting or professional services
• Proven history of quota attainment and new client acquisition.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must have the ability to adapt to change on a daily basis.
• Phenomenal critical thinking skills to determine the best solution out of multiple “correct” options.
• The ability to solve complex technical problems and remove obstacles diplomatically, with little supervision.
• Engage with clients in strategic discussions to provide best in class Cybersecurity / IT Strategy and industry guidance to maximize clients’ long-term business objectives.
• Develop strong and lasting relationships with client executives, effectively engage new business, and follow on security and risk advisory engagements.
• Develop and maintain contact with top decision-makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the
development of proposal pricing strategies.
• Support the creation and execution of strategic growth initiatives across DoD, designed to build value for the company.
• Responsible for managing the function and identifying business opportunities for the Company and developing relationships with key decision makers in the government marketplace.
• Develops key business relationships in the government marketplace, with a primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities for business expansion.
• Supports the development of customer or market penetration strategies and individual opportunity win strategies, account plans, technology development plans, and partnering strategies.

• Identify and develop pipeline with a focus on cyber, cloud and AI opportunities
• You must have knowledge of government contracts as well as be able to perform both as a prime and subcontractor.
• You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Ability to travel up to 50% on a monthly basis.
• May require working both traditional and non-traditional hours.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to develop, document, and execute a plan for achieving awards/growth
• Experience developing corporate wide growth strategies and strategic plans
• Proven experience in business development and capture management, supporting the development of opportunity pipelines and leading captures of $50M in DoD or Federal government market
• Excellent writing communication skills with experience presenting to senior executives and customers
• Demonstrated experiences in bringing delivering technology solutions to Federal Government
• Track record of success in leading and winning contracts >$50M
• Ability to identify, establish and use important customer relationships with senior level officials and program stakeholders within defense and intelligence community
• Experience leading opportunity captures including developing overall win strategy; shaping deals with customers; developing teaming strategies, identifying and closing with teammates; understanding pricing and assist in developing winning price
• Expertise in identifying new opportunities and building business
• Able to go onsite to Ft Meade to visit client 2-3 days a week. Preferred Qualifications
• Former Director of Business Development
• Knowledge and experience in the US Government's procurement process
• Knowledge of Government Contractor’s proposal process and development
• Experience in Business Development and/or Marketing
• High Energy
• Self-Motivated
• Willingness to continually learn and grow
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to work under pressure • This position requires the successful candidate to maintain an active federal security
clearance, TS/SCI clearance with Poly is required.
