Axient is Hiring a Program Support Specialist Near Eglin AFB, FL

Overview

Axient is seeking a Program Support Specialist to support our customer at Eglin AFB, FL. 

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • The primary purpose of this position is to perform Squadron level front office executive administrative and project support (not to include counseling, mentoring, judgmental/discretionary decisions or other activities related to supervision of Government personnel).
  • The Contractor shall support the organization by managing and processing civilian and military personnel actions in Air Force personnel systems including Military Personnel Data System (MilPDS), Virtual Personnel Center (VPC), Personnel Records Display Application (PRADA), LeaveWeb and others related to personnel leave, performance reports, change of station assignments, temporary duty, awards and decorations; direct, assign responsibility and track suspenses for items such as project meetings, team meetings, test meetings, test plans, test reports, and status reports.
  • Maintain organization charts, recall rosters, spreadsheets and other documentation; confer with the Commander in planning daily schedules, reminding him/her of commitments made, matters which need attention and when necessary, assists in rearranging the schedule, cancels engagements, or makes other adjustments, ensuring all persons affected by such changes are notified.
  • Arranges conference calls and initiates and ensures that all parties are present on call; oversee the preparation of agendas for meetings/conferences, informing participants of subjects to be discussed, following up on reports and studies required as a result of the meetings/conference, and advising the supervisor of their progress; compose replies to correspondence, type a wide variety of materials including, but not limited to memoranda, reports, letters, and tables on own initiative from oral directions or rough notes, producing such items in final form using personal computer and assortment of standard office software such as word processing, spreadsheet applications, network calendar, e-mail, Windows, graphics software and DOD automated systems; administer document tracking system and records management program, responsible for determining and incorporating all material into the official records and for developing, organizing, and maintaining the electronic folders and the reference material in these folders, closely working with Subject Matter Experts to stay up-to-date on issues to obtain accurate information for classifying and indexing records; coordinate extensively with leadership, peers and external organizations in the performance of responsibilities, managing organization charts, recall rosters, spreadsheets and other documentation; manage organization’s Air Force SharePoint sites information; in-process or out-process employees; review technical documentation distribution statements; run day-to-day administrative functions of an organizational program; conducting reviews and analyzing program operations; advising and assisting management with Human Resources processes.
  • The Contractor shall provide Unit Deployment Manager support; tasking, assigning deployment bands, tracking readiness training, and processing tasking letters when members are tasked to deploy. Coordinates deployment related appointments and works with parent units to complete all required documentation.
  • The contractor shall support fulfilling Unit Training Manager responsibilities, tracking completion of all Computer Based Training (CBT) modules, and coordinating formal training with Base Training Manager.
  • The contractor shall provide and support unit Self-Assessment Program Management, ensuring all Management Internal Control Toolkit (MICT) checklists are completed and validated per the Inspector General’s (IG) guidance, coordinating and tracking inspections with the IG.

Typically works on mission critical aspects and performs all functional duties independently. May oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and 10 years experience
    • OR Bachelor's and 18 years experience;
    • OR 22 years experience may be substituted for no degree.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and work well in small teams.
  • Strong communicator with outgoing personality.
  • Experienced user with windows operating systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and possess good written, verbal, listening and presentation skills.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the required level.
