Overview

Axient is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to a part of small rapid-design and prototyping team. The team specializes in developing SDR based test equipment to support the US Army.

Responsibilities

• It has an immediate need for Web Based User Interface design experience to support our rapid prototyping lab.
• Duties will include creating website interfaces to be used on fielded Linux Systems.

Qualifications

Desired Skills or Knowledge Base:

• Experience with Django Web Framework
• Experience with Node.js Web Framework
• Proficiency in Java, C, C , and/or Python or other scripting languages
• Solid understanding of Git version control
• Familiarity with Bash scripting in Linux
• Experience with implementing interactive web elements and animations for data visualization
• Experience with field up-gradable software (remote delivery and installation).
• Familiarity with common data communication protocols a plus
• Familiarity with AVR, Embedded Microcontrollers a plus
• Familiarity with current military UAV issues a plus

Required Skills:

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 2-5 years of embedded software development experience
• Full stack Linux Web developer, (Javascript, HTML, CSS. Previous Django backend experience preferred but not required)
• Linux development and debugging on custom hardware
• Experience with software development processes using Agile methodology Familiarity with source code control tools (preferably Git)
• Ability to attain Secret Security Clearance
• Must be able to travel upto 20%. Must be willing to follow Government Requirments to Travel.
