The company is a leading provider of market intelligence. They are looking for a passionate Data Analyst to both program market research surveys and turn the resultant data into statistically-verifiable insights. You will program online surveys using Decipher and Qualtrics along with other online platforms as assigned; clean and structure data sets in SPSS; generate data cross-tabulations using Wincross or other software as assigned; monitor operations and quality control procedures for improvements; and learn a variety of advanced analytical techniques.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Program online surveys with special attention to logic and aesthetics
- Clean and structure complex data sets in SPSS
- Analyze/interpret results using common and advanced statistical techniques in SPSS and other programs as assigned
- Produce client-friendly data cross-tabulations in WinCross
- Perform various quality assurance tasks
- Develop and maintain databases/data systems
- Define new process improvement
- Location - Onsite in Vancouver, WA
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of and experience with statistical packages for analyzing large datasets, specifically, SPSS and Excel
- Knowledge of Decipher, Qualtrics, Javascript and/or XML helpful but not required provided you can demonstrate an understanding of survey logic and the potential to acquire the necessary expertise
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- BS or MS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
