Overview

Aveshka is seeking a Management Analyst to support The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). ASPR is a public health preparedness and emergency response organization in the Office of the Secretary at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. ASPR was created under the Pandemic and All Hazards Preparedness Act in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to lead the nation in preventing, preparing for, and responding to the adverse health effects of public health emergencies and disasters. This full time position will support the Security, Intelligence and Information Management (SIIM) - Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Division. The SIIM office oversees all matters related to security, intelligence, and information management at ASPR. CIP leads a public and private sector partnership in protecting the essential goods, services, and functions of HPH that, if disrupted would negatively impact the Nation.

The work will be performed in the designated greater Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area and virtually as identified.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the CIP Healthcare Sector Preparedness and Response branch through project management support
• Serve as the primary contact for facilitating security clearances for public and private sector partners
• Coordinating classified briefing opportunities
• Provide support in the HSPR branch as it coordinates internal and external activities to impact policy, decision support, and outreach among partners to ensure all-hazards preparedness and response.
• Leads response activities for private sector coordination for Emergency Support Functions 8 and 14
• Coordinates with DHS to provide clearances to key partners
• Coordinates with Federal and private partners to ensure full participation in exercises, after action reports and lessons learned
• Participate in any activities as necessary to support the mission during active emergency response

• Write Periodic bulletins

• Plan meetings and meeting agendas

Qualifications

Required Education:

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience
• Familiarity with Security Clearance processes
• Familiarity with project management principles, PMP certification not required
• MS Suite
• Experience writing periodic bulletins/newsletters
• Experience planning, scheduling, and developing agendas for meetings

Required Clearance:

• Ability to pass public trust investigation

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with public health, emergency preparedness and response a plus
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Ability to process actions in a timely manner;
• Excellent professional communication skills, both oral and written;
• Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently;
• Demonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
