Automotive Search Group is Hiring an AUTOMOTIVE GENERAL SALES MANAGER Near Clear, IA

Automotive General Sales Manager opportunity available in northern Iowa! Beautifully renovated state-of-the-art dealerships looking for an experienced General Sales Manager to get them to the next level. This is for two domestic dealerships that are located next to each other. Must have prior dealership management experience and be looking for a long-term opportunity. The dealer group is consistently awarded "Best Places to Work." Currently the two dealerships are averaging 80 units per month (total) but should be selling 100-110 units a month between them with the right leadership in place. The GSM will be responsible to lead the daily variable operations and will oversee the Finance Manager, Commercial Sales Manager, as well as the sales team. Must be a positive leader, someone who leads by example, and someone who brings the energy and focus to get cars sold every day! Fabulous long-term opportunity and "home" for the successful candidate. Must be clean cut and a good person with a strong moral compass. This is with a stable family owned dealer group and the automotive General Sales Manager hired will report directly to a long-term GM who is over this auto campus. Serious relocation candidates are encouraged to apply. This a great place to raise a family and low cost of living area with good school systems. Domestic dealership experience highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • As the General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the dealerships sales team
  • The GSM is responsible for the management of the sales process, including appointments, negotiations, and closing sales
  • Ensuring proper follow up of all prospective buyers by developing, implementing, and monitoring a CRM system
  • Actively work to close / TO deals and work the desk
  • Conducting daily and weekly sales and sales training meetings
  • Coach sales team on proper closing techniques through training and active participation
  • Maintain positive relationships with all customers, internal staff, and external vendors
  • Assist in the development of advertising campaigns and other promotions
  • Hire, motivate, and monitor the performance of all new/used vehicle sales employees
  • Monitor and analyze salespeople's performance
• Work collaboratively with the stores department managers and general manager to establish sales and income related forecasts and meet/exceed those forecasts
  • Establish delivery procedures and ensure delivery includes an introduction to the service department and scheduling of the first service appointment
  • You will be expected to maintain an organized and clean work environment, foster excitement and enthusiasm while providing excellent customer service to our customers
Compensation:
  • Compensation in the 120k-150k range with room for growth as volume grows, the goal is that this position will grow into a 150k-180k position once sales hit 110 units/month.
