Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and enter loan applications into the Loan Origination System
- Prepare required disclosures.
- Gather all documentation and information for the loan, including all approval conditions required by the underwriter.
- Submit and follow up on orders placed with third-party service providers
- Maintain and manage loan files
- Communicate with all parties involved in the transaction, including but not limited to underwriters, attorneys, title companies, appraisers, and dealers, to move the loan efficiently and accurately from application to settlement.
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- High School Diploma required.
- College Degree (preferred)
- At least one year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience that meets the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Basic knowledge of loan underwriting terminology
- Prior loan processing experience
- Prior experience with title/abstract companies, realtors, or attorneys specializing in mortgage title search and closings.
- Customer Centric
- Previous banking background
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and demanding office environment
