Role Overview:
As the VP of Technology and Cybersecurity, also serving as the company's Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), you'll lead our technology and information security program. You'll oversee all technology systems and platforms, ensuring the security of our data, including customer data, financial data, and intellectual property. Your role will be pivotal in safeguarding us from data breaches, ransomware attacks, and more, while fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a robust information security program, safeguarding our technology platforms and data.
  • Assess and fortify IT systems, implementing measures to detect, prevent, and mitigate cyber threats.
  • Proactively conduct security assessments and audits, swiftly developing disaster recovery plans for compromised data and information. Offer strategic recommendations and implement innovative solutions to fortify our technology and cyber capabilities, ensuring resilience against evolving threats.
  • Serve as the company's CISO for State and Regulatory Licensing requirements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure data architectures on AWS and Snowflake platforms.
  • Develop and maintain Snowpark scripts for advanced data processing and analytics within Snowflake environment.
  • Manage SnowSQL and Snowpipes for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Utilize Python scripting for cybersecurity automation and data governance, system integrations.
  • Configure and manage Cisco Meraki firewall solutions to enforce network security policies and monitor traffic.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to enhance technology and security systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required
Key Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, IT, or Computer Science, with 10-12 years' experience in financial services.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, AWS Certified Security, Snowflake Certified Professional, or Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate.
  • Proficiency in AWS, Snowflake environments (Snowpark, SnowSQL, and Snowpipes), Python scripting, SQL, Data manipulation, and Cisco Meraki firewall configuration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C/C , as well as expertise in Snowflake and other database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance principles, regulatory requirements, and consumer finance regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, think strategically, and represent the company at Board Meetings.
  • Extensive experience in cybersecurity, data engineering, or a related field, with a focus on AWS and Snowflake environments. Familiar with AI systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
