Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive, Inc is Hiring a Quality Team Leader Near Austin, IN

Responsibility:

Lead the team by modeling professionalism and specific procedures for safely manufacturing high quality automotive structural parts. Ensure customer requirements and satisfaction is met and quality issues are addressed and followed up on in a timely manner.

Support (ATA) efforts to promote Corporate Social Responsibility, (CSR) and ensure activities are carried out in cooperation with G-TEKT CSR, and Corporate Governance initiatives and activities to ensure compliance in functional areas of responsibility. Support the Corporate Governance Policy of Austin Tri-Hawk Automotive and the Objectives of:

Meeting challenges of changed legal and business environment.

Enhancing the trust of ATA among customers, associates, and society.

Implementing activities to improve ATA business operations using a strategy of Steady

Compliance.

Accountable to:

Assistant Quality Manager and QA Coordinator

Qualifications

  • Three to five years experience in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of blueprint, SPC and metrology
  • Knowledge of welding process, weld sectioning and stamping.
  • Ability to communicate with all associates at all levels of the organization.
  • Problem solving skills.

Leadership

  • Ensure compliance to all safety procedures.
  • Assist leadership of the Quality area and its associates.
  • Assist keeping team focused on assigned activities.
  • Assist in plant team leadership.
  • Assist with training and development needs.
  • Model and mentor proper process procedures and part problem solving.
  • Respond to quality concerns and issues in a timely manner
  • Respond to customer calls and internal issues
  • Lead and mentor Quality Auditors
  • Lead quality to resolve issues in a timely and responsive manner

Service

  • Assist in maintaining the company’s Quality systems.
  • Assist in part measurement and set up for joint inspections
  • Assist in part submission preparation
  • Assist with reducing scrap costs by;

A. Determining repair method

B. Confirming repair meets quality standards

  • Assist completion of all customer requirements such as Quality Control Plans, Drawing control, Inspection Fixture Instructions, Gage Control documents, PPAP’s etc.
  • Assist maintenance of product quality so that parts shipped meet or exceeds our customer requirement.
  • Assist the company in meeting IATF-16949 requirements and support IATF-16949 requirements.
  • Assist in maintaining product quality to ensure ATA meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.

Operations

  • Make quality decisions concerning product quality.
  • Ensure customer requests are completed on time.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation required is issued to the floor as needed.
  • Ensure quality associates are performing job duties as required.
  • Report quality issues and analysis information via appropriate channels.
  • Ensure communication between shifts.
  • Ensure needed training is provided for all quality associates.
  • Responsible for containment activities.
  • Ensure sort and rework procedures are followed.
  • Provide assistance on all quality issues
  • Determine prioritization of work and remained disciplined to decisions.
  • Model proper gage and measuring instruments usage such as Coordinate measuring machine, tensile tester, push out tester etc.
  • Perform capability studies.
  • Analyze issues and recommend countermeasures, follow up on effectiveness.
  • Assist with countermeasures and corrective action plans regarding part defects.
  • Assist with sorting tasks/traceability to verify quantities shipped to the customer.
  • Respect, follow and enforce U.S. government regulations affecting the company such as Right to Know, Hazardous Communications, National Labor Relations Board, Environmental Issues and reporting, Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity Rights, OHSA and various other legal issues.
  • Actively pursue professional relationships with all subordinates.
  • Other duties assigned by the Quality Manager and QA Coordinator.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.60 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 72 per week
