Austin Sports Medicine specializes in comprehensive orthopedic care for active lifestyle and sports-related injuries as well as non-surgical alternatives to get you back doing what you love.

Our practice is as a complete medical treatment facility. Our patients are able to receive total care under one roof including, physician to patient consultation, X-ray, MRI, physical therapy, surgery and other procedures.

All of our orthopedic surgeons are Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Fellowship Trained in a variety of specialties including Sports Medicine, Adult Reconstruction, Hand and Wrist, and Shoulder and Elbow.

In addition, Dr. Fernandez is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and in Rehabilitation and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and specializes in a nonsurgical approach to spine and soft tissue injuries.

Austin Sports Medicine has worked with some of the country’s finest athletes and sports teams. Our physicians continue to cover the orthopedics needs of The University of Texas Men’s Athletic program and have for the last 30 years.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.

Duties:

- Perform general bookkeeping duties, including data entry, recording transactions, and maintaining financial records in QuickBooks.

- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments

- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents

- Prepare and assist in Patient refund requests

- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes

- Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting

- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy

- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies

Skills:

- Proficient Quickbooks

- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles

- Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy

- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and procedures

- Understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger accounts

- Proficient in 10-key typing for efficient data entry

- Ability to perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy

- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Experience with bank reconciliation processes

-An understanding of Physician Practice Operations a plus
