Texas Lightsmith Inc. is seeking a full-charge bookkeeper. The position is available immediately and involves basic bookkeeping (see below for specifics). We are a small company producing high-end appliances and this position reports directly to the owners. This position will also include general phone answering, customer service, and general office related work. The starting pay is $23.00 / Hour. Additional benefits available include paid healthcare insurance and vacation time.
- Perform all aspects of bookkeeping, including but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare financial statements and reports on a regular basis
- Conduct account analysis and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process weekly payroll and maintain employee records
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Utilize accounting software (Quick Books Online) to manage financial transactions
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
- Keep updated records to ensure a smooth settlement statement for jobs
- Assist with office duties such as answering the phones, greeting customers, communicating with other office staff

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
- Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
- Proficiency in technical accounting procedures and practices
- Experience with bank reconciliations, account analysis, and budgeting
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Quick Books, Excel
- Excellent 10-key typing skills for accurate data entry
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
- Solid understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
