Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. The Front of House Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing the dining area, supervising staff, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.
Duties:
- Manage and coordinate all front of house activities, including greeting and seating guests, taking reservations, and managing waitlists
- Train and supervise front of house staff, including hosts/hostesses, servers, and bartenders
- Ensure that all staff members adhere to company policies and procedures
- Monitor dining room cleanliness and organization, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable dining experience for guests
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely food delivery and quality control
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new front of house employees
- Oversee inventory management for front of house supplies, such as menus, napkins, and utensils
- Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and increase sales
Requirements:
- Previous experience in culinary or hospitality management is required
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proven ability to effectively supervise and lead a team
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using restaurant management software systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training front of house staff
- Knowledge of restaurant catering operations
