AUI Power is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near Capitol Heights, MD

Are you a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude? Are you a detail-oriented, people oriented person who can thrive working with little immediate oversight? We are seeking an Administrative Assistant. This position is a full time, hourly position, working Monday through Friday. You will be communicating directly with customers and be responsible for assistance coordinating, scheduling work, relaying information to field supervisors and basic data entry. There may be situations where time will allow for this position to assist other office or field personnel with similar related work tasks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and schedule work for the Service Department – Pepco | Overhead Department
  • Answering/returning calls and emails from customers with the capacity to inform them and assist with scheduling jobs to their convenience
  • Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks
  • Provide support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs
  • Work closely with Department head and Field supervisors- relay information as needed
  • Follow techniques and procedures for customers software programs and adhere to not only AUI’s policies, but our customers
  • Executing additional tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • To be successful in this role, you must have a strong desire to be proactive and create a positive experience for others
  • Capable of working independently with self-accountability
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Possess the ability to de-escalate problems with customers and find best solutions to fit their needs
  • Ability to be trained in AUI’s work practices and procedures
  • Must have a positive attitude and be able to represent AUI / Customers in accordance with our core values
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills and follow up skills
  • 2 years of prior administrative or customer service experience required
