Audacy, Inc. is Hiring a Technical Product Manager Near New York, NY

Overview

Audacy is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our team, and help us build the future of ad tech for our fast growing cross-platform audio/podcast business. Our team serves as the connective tissue between our sales, operations, vendors, and technical teams, and we are looking for results-oriented team players that can help us accelerate our roadmap of critical advertising capabilities.

Location: New York or Philadelphia (hybrid) or Remote

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Clear understanding of ad server functionality consisting of, but not to limited to, delivery, targeting, reporting, and creative management
  • Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into documented use cases and requirements.
    • Using Agile methodologies to document requirements in user stories (business capabilities/problems to solve) that include relevant information, functional design and acceptance criteria.
    • This may require shadowing users in various roles and diving deeply into how they are using our technology today to help guide Audacy toward a future state where systems are more connected and interoperable.
    • Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Plan, organize and facilitate User Acceptance Testing with documented results.
  • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Coordinate as needed on roadmaps and managing tasks with other product teams and integration partners to deliver integrated solutions with cross-team dependencies.
  • Facilitate effective meetings with customers and project teams. Develop meeting agendas, minutes, and subsequent communication so that all appropriate parties are informed of decisions, project status and issues.
  • Operate successfully in an agile team environment and ensure success of the project by taking ownership of deliverables and performing project management, testing, support, training, or other tasks when needed.
  • Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities. Be responsible for problem solving, overall product quality, technical updates, and ensuring technical solutions are well supported.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
  • Prepare business-focused application release notes and distribute them to the customer, as needed.
  • Promote a positive working relationship by maintaining an open and constant communication among the team, management, and customers.

Qualifications

Required & Preferred:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in technical product management or product management roles.
  • Bachelor's degree, CS preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Ad Platforms and digital products.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience with project scoping, requirements elicitation in the form of user stories/epics with acceptance criteria, and product validation.
  • Basic technical background and an ability to hold their own with architects and engineers re API design,systems integrations, data pipelines, reporting etc.
  • Analytical and creative problem solver.
  • Experience working on multiple products/projects.
  • Proven ability to deliver on commitments partnering with product, engineering and vendor partner teams.
  • Experience in interfacing with end users to provide hands on support of critical applications.
  • Solid understanding of the media landscape

Additional Information

Pay Transparency:

The anticipated starting salary range for New York City-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $120,000 to $140,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
