Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Shifts Availiable: 1st 6:00 am to 4:30 am Mon -Fri (some Saturdays)

2nd 2:00pm to 1:30 am Mon - Fri (some Saturdays)

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment used in the manufacturing process of bus seats. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, possess strong troubleshooting skills, and adhere to safety, quality, and productivity standards set by the company. This role requires the ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

1. Take initiative and be proactive in identifying and resolving equipment issues.

2. Read codes, blueprints, and drawings to effectively diagnose and repair equipment.

3. Meet and exceed company expectations for safety, quality, and productivity.

4. Identify and separate nonconforming parts (defective) to maintain product quality.

5. Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.

6. Follow all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

7. Utilize knowledge of shop tools for equipment maintenance and repair.

8. Welding skills preferred for performing necessary repairs.

9. Maintain housekeeping standards (5S) throughout and at the end of each shift.

10. Ensure punctuality and adherence to work schedules.

11. Participate in plant preventative maintenance activities.

12. Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity.

13. Perform other duties as required to support manufacturing operations.

PPE Requirements:

1. Safety glasses and hearing protection are required and provided.

2. Safety shoes are required and to be purchased by the employee.

Language Skills:

1. Basic understanding of the English language is required.

2. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift 40 lbs. repetitively.

2. Must be able to stand for the entire shift.

3. Position requires bending, stooping, stretching, and reaching.

Education and/or Experience Level:

1. High school diploma/GED preferred.

2. Effective communication skills.

3. Self-starter and well-organized.

4. Ability to work well in a multicultural environment.

5. Experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.

6. Basic knowledge of computer use.

7. Flexibility to perform multiple job functions and duties.

Expected hours: 45 per week

• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• building or apartment maintenance: 5 years (Required)
• advance maintenance: 2 years (Required)
• HVAC: 3 years (Required)
• small power tools: 3 years (Required)
• basic computer: 5 years (Required)
• Groundskeeping: 3 years (Required)
