Role: Human Resources - Consultant II

Shift: 8am to 5pm (mon-fri)
Rate: $ 72/hr
Location: Portland, OR, 97204(local candidates only)
Summary
Local candidates only. Selected individual must use cPGE equipment Work Hours: Variable depending on need.
Must be available M-F 8-5. Some weekend and hours outside normal business hours may be needed.
Travel may be required to interview investigation participants. Travel will be in Oregon and Washington only.

Education Requirements (Experience in Lieu of Degree): Must be Oregon licensed attorney or private investigator.
If PI, there is no education requirement for this position, but the individual must demonstrate clear writing abilities. Writing sample will be requested.
Certification Requirements (Any Preferences): Oregon Licensed PI or Attorney

Roles & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Functions with percent of time spent performing function
Oregon-licensed attorney or private investigator.
Investigate workplace complaints of violation of policy or law.
Conduct prompt, thorough, objective, and confidential investigations of employee and third party. complaints of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and/or policy violations
Ensure that all internal investigations are conducted in accordance with the Company's established standards and procedures.
Conduct remote or in-person, on-site interviews with complainant(s), witnesses, and individuals against whom complaints are filed, to gather and analyze the facts associated with the complaints.
Identify, collect, analyze, and preserve documentary and physical evidence related to the matters being investigated.
Prepare concise report of investigation using established templates.
Identify and make recommendations.

Experience conducting effective workplace investigations.
Comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment laws and regulations.
Exceptional human relations, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain objectivity.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Experience creating detailed notes and to investigation reports.
Must have experience interacting with employees across a broad range of cultures.

Team and Work Environment
Can you give a high-level overview of your team size, roles, its initiatives/deliverables, and any tool/technologies specific to your team/department/project they will be supporting: Team includes two internal investigator positions and one analysist. The external investigator role conducts investigations into workplace matters.
What would “a day in the life” of this role look like? Variable work hours and assignments, typically at least one investigation is assigned, sometimes more. The investigator conducts planning, interviews, and debrief. May be responsible for scheduling depending on department.
What interaction level with this role have the team members and hiring manager? Partner with all team members during planning phase, for questions and during outcomes review. May present information to other company leaders.
What would you say is the top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months? Be available to take assignments.
What do you foresee being the biggest challenge in this role? Learning company rules and structure.
