Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the exciting world of the finance industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our company's financial records and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This is a permanent position, offering stability and growth opportunities within our organization.
Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger Management:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly journal entries and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Analyze and investigate any discrepancies or variances in financial records.
2. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends and provide insights to management.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
3. Excel Expertise:
- Utilize advanced Excel functions to manipulate and analyze large data sets.
- Develop and maintain complex spreadsheets to support financial analysis and reporting.
- Streamline existing processes by creating automated Excel models and templates.
4. Compliance with GAAP:
- Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all financial reporting activities.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with auditors during the annual audit process and provide required documentation.
5. Financial Analysis:
- Perform detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Identify areas of improvement and make recommendations to enhance financial performance.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
- Proven track record of managing general ledger accounts and preparing financial statements.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
2. Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and ability to apply accounting principles effectively.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and regulations.
3. Attention to Detail:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to spot errors or discrepancies and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
4. Analytical Thinking:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide insights.
- Ability to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in financial records.
- Capacity to think critically and make sound judgments based on financial analysis.
5. Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
