Essential Duties
Collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing
Verifying patient identification and ensuring proper labeling of specimens
Following strict protocols and safety measures during blood collection
Communicating with patients to alleviate any fears or concerns
Preparing and organizing blood collection equipment and supplies
Maintaining accurate records of collected specimens and related information
Properly disposing of biohazardous materials and sharps
Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure proper specimen handling and processing
Monitoring and maintaining inventory of phlebotomy supplies
Adhering to infection control guidelines and procedures
Providing exceptional patient care and ensuring their comfort during the blood collection process
Maintaining a clean and organized phlebotomy work area

Minimum Requirements
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, family members, and the healthcare team.
High school diploma or GED required
Excellent observation and problem-solving skills.
Proof of COVID vaccination required
Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Basic computer and documentation skills.
Must be 18 years old or older
Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
