Outside Salesperson
(Exempt)
Compensation: Base Pay plus Monthly Commission
DEFINITION:
Under the direction of the Sales Manager, the Outside Salesperson is primarily responsible for making sales calls directly and in person to Small and Large Truck Fleets, Dealers, Leasing Companies and Repair Companies to sell them Truck, Trailer and Equipment Parts. As part of one’s duties the Outside Salesperson will be required to maintain existing customer relationships while increasing sales and opening new accounts during work hours. Conversely, all duties performed on the job may not be listed herein.
WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday (in scheduled rotation) 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Essential Duties:
Routinely visit customers. Daily, Weekly, Monthly.
Distributes promotional materials like sales catalogs, pamphlets, brochures, exhibits, print advertisements and displays to promote the sale of the company’s products to Small and Large Truck Fleets, Dealers, Leasing Companies and Repair Companies.
Schedules and Delivers parts to customers.
Pick up parts and cores.
Collects money from customers.
Helps any current or potential ATP customer.
Additional Duties:
Cover when others are sick or on vacation.
Put away inventory.
Help with counting inventory.
REQUIREMENTS:
License:
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driver’s license devoid of chargeable accidents and moving violations
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience: 1 years
Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to provide solutions for customers.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of this position.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
Ability to drive a company van.
