School-age Childcare Assistant Director $600 Hiring Bonus

If you have childcare experience actively supporting a Director and assisting staff and program participants then Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as a School-age Childcare Assistant Director at Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center at Thornton Creek Elementary School.

A School-age Childcare Assistant Director is responsible for developing program offerings in partnership with the director. The assistant director is responsible for creating and supporting a fun, safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for staff and participants. This person establishes and maintains positive relationships with parents, participants, and community center and Seattle Public Schools (SPS) staff.

Pay:

• Starting Salary Range: $25.00-26.56/hr (Depending on experience)
• Full Pay Range: $25.00-31.25 (Over time, the employee in this role may earn up to $31.25/hr with additional years of service.)

Schedule: 9:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday

Location: currently on site at Thornton Creek Elementary School (permanent location to be Ravenna-Eckstein Community Center)
School-age Childcare Assistant Director duties and responsibilities include:

• Assisting the Director in mentoring, training, and coaching staff in the development and implementation of program
• Demonstrate and model desirable leadership qualities to reporting staff and participants
• Oversee and/or lead opening and closing procedures daily
• Communicate with SAC team members, families, community center staff, and Seattle Public Schools staff

School-age Childcare Assistant Director requirements include:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Have a minimum of 30 college credits
• Prior experience in childcare
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience
