If you have school-age childcare experience and would enjoy helping to lead a small team, then Associated Recreation Council (ARC) has a role for you as a School-age Childcare Assistant Director at Jefferson Community Center. This is a year-round, full-time position starting immediately.

ARC, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, serves Seattle by offering access to licensed childcare and a variety of recreational and lifelong learning programs, classes, and activities. In this role, School-age Childcare Assistant Directors will assist the Director lead groups of children through fun, creative, safe, and welcoming activities for children to learn, play and grow during our after-school program.

Location: Jefferson Community Center - Seattle, WA 98108

Schedule:

• Full-time, non-exempt; up to 35 hours during the school year and up to 40 hours during the summer.

School-age Childcare Assistant Director Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Director in mentoring, training, and coaching staff in the development and implementation of program
• Demonstrate and model desirable leadership qualities to reporting staff and participants
• Oversee and/or lead opening and closing procedures daily
• Communicate with SAC team members, families, community center staff, and Seattle Public Schools staff

School-age Childcare Assistant Director Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Have a minimum of 30 college credits
• Prior experience in childcare
• Minimum of one-year supervisory experience

Pay:

• Starting pay: $25.00
• Full Pay Range: $25.00-31.25/hr (Over time, the employee in this role may earn up to $31.25/hr with additional years of service)
