Position Overview:

The Vice President of Sales & Marketing will be accountable for achieving the overall sales goals for the division, manage marketing efforts; and lead a team of 25 sales and marketing professionals. This position is a member of the executive division leadership team, and reports to the Division President.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Division President and leadership team to define revenue, unit, and profitability objectives for Division. Translate objectives into measurable goals and actions plans for sales team.
  • Hire, train, Lead, and manage sales team to ensure top performance of all team members in achieving desired results that sells homes, efficiently executes clean contracts, and exceeds customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively leads, coaches and models’ integrity to Sales Managers to ensure sales team leadership is highly productive.
  • Lead the marketing process and ensure that the objectives of the Marketing Manager are met.
  • Develop short term strategic planning for sales capability and productivity in Division. Plans should be dynamic and responsive to changes in market conditions, corporate objectives, and other factors.
  • Develops and maintains current knowledge of competitor policies, programs, pricing, and products, as well as consumer demographics and economic influences.
  • Collaborates with other members of division management in the selection of land and the creation of product, bringing an in-depth understanding of the division’s markets, up-to-date consumer preferences and the competition to the discussion.
  • Reviews and analyzes the sales numbers of the business regularly (prices, inventory, backlog, etc.) to evaluate the effectiveness of sales and incentive programs.
  • Regularly provides specific performance feedback and accountability to sales team through established performance review processes.
  • Leads sales meetings and training sessions designed to enhance the skills of the sales team.
  • Manage the customer care process from point of sale through closing. Ensure compliance with procedures and customer walk schedule. Maintain a corporate satisfaction score above 90%.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
  • At least five years of sales management experience at a volume builder.
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and ability to learn new programs.
