ABOUT ASHLEY|ROUNTREE AND ASSOCIATES
As the region's leading provider of consulting services for nonprofit organizations, the mission of Ashley|Rountree and Associates is to assist nonprofit organizations in growing philanthropy and achieving self-sustainability to help the communities we serve become better places for all who live and work in them. The work we do is instilled in our values: collaboration, sustainable growth, allyship, impact and ethical practices.
The firm is currently comprised of a leadership team of 13 and 29 consultants/contractors. Ashley|Rountree continues to grow and diversify its offerings to the nonprofit community locally, regionally, and nationally. The company has five divisions each with its own Vice President and many consultants who have direct nonprofit expertise: Capital Campaigns, Fundraising Solutions/Grants, Strategic Planning/Partnerships and Collaborations, Talent & Leadership and Marketing & Communications. There is also a VP for the Lexington and Central Kentucky Market.
We are currently seeking a full-time Vice President of Talent & Leadership who will provide vision and dynamic leadership to carry out the mission of Ashley|Rountree and lead the division and its team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
For more than two decades, Ashley|Rountree has built its business around fund development and campaign planning, both areas that are foundational to our burgeoning business. In recent years, Ashley|Rountree expanded into other areas of nonprofit management expertise. One of the fastest growing divisions is that of Talent & Leadership.
The VP will lead all consulting projects that assist clients with their needs in search, recruitment, interviewing, succession planning, interim staffing and executive and leadership coaching. The VP is responsible for recruiting, managing, and mentoring part-time / contractor consultants and must maintain the appropriate balance between client need and contractors available. Reporting to the COO, the VP works with the President and COO to build and achieve an annual division budget, goals and outcomes driven by oversight of client relationships, writes proposals, and closes contracts with potential clients. The successful candidate will be one who is entrepreneurial, sales-minded oriented and wants to identify and create new revenue generating opportunities for Ashley|Rountree.
Ashley|Rountree has a culture of collaboration and coordination. There may be occasions in which the VP for Talent and Leadership will work with other divisions to deliver proposals or consult on cross-divisional projects.
Division of time between management and consulting is currently estimated at 70/30. As the division grows, management time could increase over consulting time. This full-time position is for forty (40) hours per week.
The Vice President must take initiative and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will lead the division team by assisting with sales lead calls, writing sales lead proposals, closing new business, assigning consultants to projects, overseeing quality control of client work, and communicating with the division team on a regular basis. Ashley|Rountree is committed to sourcing candidates through an equitable lens.
