Our client, renowned for its commitment to legal excellence, is currently seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join its Transactional Real Estate Group. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a dynamic and collaborative team in a remote position based in New York.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate Title/Survey Diligence:
- Spearhead the coordination of title/survey diligence, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the process.
2. Title and Survey Analysis:
- Conduct a thorough review and analysis of title and survey issues, actively contributing to their resolution through direct communication with title underwriters and surveyors.
3. Document Preparation:
- Take the lead in the preparation of closing documents and ancillary transactional documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
4. Meeting and Closing Participation:
- Attend and actively participate in meetings and closings, providing invaluable support to the team during critical stages of the transactional process.
5. Document Management:
- Gather, organize, summarize, and index documents from various sources, maintaining an efficient and accessible filing system.
6. Special Projects:
- Undertake special projects and additional duties as assigned, showcasing adaptability and a proactive approach to challenges.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Possess 5-10 years of experience in commercial real estate, preferably at a mid to large law firm and/or national title insurance underwriter.
- Organizational Skills:
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to thrive in an independent work environment and meet deadlines within a fast-paced, complex transactional setting.
- Communication Skills:
- Exhibit excellent communication skills to interact seamlessly with all levels of internal staff, attorneys, management, and external clients of the firm.
- Analytical and Critical Thinking:
- Showcase analytical and critical thinking skills sufficient to make informed decisions regarding daily work, contributing to the success of the team.
- Time Management:
- Display effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Flexibility:
- Ability to work overtime as needed, demonstrating dedication and commitment to the success of the team and the firm.
- Proficiency:
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite, ensuring a high standard of work productivity.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree (Paralegal Certification is a plus).
