Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring vital signs
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient information, medical history, and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records systems such as Athenahealth
- Perform physical examinations and assessments to identify health issues and develop appropriate interventions
- Coordinate and provide case management services for patients with complex medical needs
- Assist in the development and implementation of occupational health programs
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding healthcare management and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients with developmental disabilities
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a hospital or similar healthcare setting
- Knowledge of suture techniques and wound care management
- Experience in case management and coordinating care for patients with complex needs
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and practices
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments accurately
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Knowledge of coding systems for accurate billing and reimbursement
