SUMMARY OF POSITION

Artisan Management Group is seeking an Assistant Property Manager at our community Windsor on the River. Nestled on the wooded shores of Robbins Lake and above the Cedar River, our apartment homes offer spacious, well-appointed floor plans along with an abundance of amenities for fitness and outdoor recreation. 

At Artisan Management Group our Assistant Property Managers are accountable for all administrative duties and providing support to the onsite team. This position ensures that all work being carried out onsite, whether it be by staff or vendors, is carried out per the company’s policies and procedures and all applicable local, state, or federal laws. The Assistant Property Manager supports the Community Property Manager for all day-to-day operations and will assume all managerial duties in the event of the Community Property Manager’s absence.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Conduct all business in accordance with Artisan policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other Federal and State laws.
  • Provide general assistance within the leasing office.
  • Accepts rental payments and posts rent to AppFolio.
  • Maintains accurate monthly commission sheets for bonus payments.
  • Tour the property to ensure target apartments / model homes are presentable.
  • Process applications for approval. Informs Community Property Manager of qualified / unqualified applicants. Follows-up with applicants regarding application status.
  • Creates residential leases and completes all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Confirms apartments are ready for residents to move in on move in date.
  • Provides new resident orientation to the community.
  • Assist in monitoring renewals. Distributes and follows-up on renewal notices.
  • Answer questions for residents about the community, work orders, rent, rules, etc.
  • Ensure all work orders are completed to Artisan Management standards.
  • Assist with enforcing policies and rules of the community.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all the times.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college-level education preferred.
  • 1 years in sales-oriented role and/or 6 months of on-site leasing experience or a combination of customer service and sales experience and education preferred.
  • Computer proficiency, including MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Industry designations (ARM, CAM, NALP, RPM) strongly preferred.
  • AppFolio experience preferred.
