Description
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Assist with medical administrative support tasks, such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Use medical terminology to accurately document patient symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments
- Code and submit insurance claims for reimbursement
- Perform basic patient care tasks, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations
- Assist with X-ray procedures as needed
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely manner
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in medical administration is a plus
- Proficiency in medical terminology and administrative support tasks
- Knowledge of coding procedures for insurance claims submission
- Experience with inhale software or similar electronic health record systems preferred
- Basic life support certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Anatomy knowledge is beneficial for understanding medical procedures
