Armada Hoffler (NYSE:AHH) is seeking an innovative and strategic leader with strong technical skills to serve as the Director of IT

Summary: The Director of IT reports to the CFO and holds a pivotal role responsible for setting strategic direction, planning, and overseeing all facets of the organization's information technology infrastructure with a strong emphasis on sustaining critical IT systems, cybersecurity measures, implementing and exploring innovating technologies for process and system enhancement to ensure a secure, reliable, and scalable environment. This role entails managing a team of direct reports and vendors while driving technology initiatives, and ensuring alignment with business objectives to foster innovation and boost operational efficiency that aligns with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing a strategic vision for the organization's IT infrastructure and architecture, aligning it with business goals and objectives.
  • Managing and coaching IT staff, including hiring, direct supervision, facilitating collaboration among departments and managing employee concerns and performance to ensure team’s success.
  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including Help Desk and technical support services
  • Developing and maintaining the organization's IT architecture framework, standards, and guidelines.
  • Evaluating and recommending innovative technologies, solutions, and methodologies to drive continuous improvement of the infrastructure, processes, communication, servers, networks, and solution delivery.
  • Oversee telecommunications, audio & visual infrastructure.
  • Execute security strategies, policies, and controls to safeguard the organization's data, systems, and networks against cybersecurity threats. Monitor security incidents, conduct risk assessments, and implement measures to address vulnerabilities and breaches to ensure high availability and scalability of the infrastructure.
  • Create, implement, and maintain cyber security training and tracking for all the employees in the organization. Ensure that IT policies are followed throughout the organization through various audits.
  • Oversee deployments, upgrades, and optimization of IT hardware and software including networks, servers, and applications while ensuring maximum availability and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee IT help desk ticketing system and proactively identify areas for improvement in technology systems and user experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments and executives to understand their requirements and to deliver solutions that meet their needs and exceed expectations. Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Managing relationships with IT vendors and service providers. Evaluating vendor proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met. Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage the IT infrastructure budget, encompassing capital expenditures, operational costs, and project expenditures. Optimize spending and resources while maintaining the required level of performance and availability.
  • Communicates effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and guests.
  • Travel to various project locations might be required from time to time.
  • Demonstrate integrity and honesty and model ethical behavior and core values of the company: Quality, Service, Flexibility, and Integrity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving business outcomes through technology innovation.
  • 7 years of experience in IT leadership roles, demonstrating a track record of success in strategic planning, technology management, and organizational transformation.
  • Profound technical expertise across multiple IT domains, including infrastructure, security, networking, and enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Strong experience in Windows operating systems
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with a history of completing projects and tasks on time, in both individual and group situations.
  • Advanced analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Prior experience at publicly traded company preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work inside an office environment and is required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
